Bitcoin 2019 is an annual event that holds a two-day conference with a cast of multifaceted speakers and an exhibition with interactive activities. It's a meeting ground for the early adopters, technical experts, and everyone in the bitcoin community.
The program is split into four half-day morning and afternoon content tracks.
Day 1 begins with "Layer One", focusing on subjects regarding bitcoin mining and updates to the core protocol. In the afternoon, discussions will be held about user adoption and global policies and regulations.
Day 2 dives into "Layer Two", with a focus on the Lightning Network. The event will wrap up with the topic Native Currency of the Internet, which discusses Bitcoin as the original decentralized finance project and the role it played in environmentalism.
The Bitcoin Games
Are you a visionary in the making?
Then get ready to flex your creative muscles and challenge yourself to participate in The Bitcoin Games!
The Bitcoin Games are a global and virtual hackathon that allow video creatives and developers to feature their innovations and demonstrate their passion for Bitcoin.
The competition involves three challenges:
Growth Hack: for the media and content creators.
Lightning Hack: for the developers to innovate upon the Lightning Network technology.
Liquid Hack: for the developers with an interest in liquid-based applications.
The winner will receive an exciting opportunity to present at the Bitcoin 2019 Conference.
While the event showcases bitcoin’s progress so far, the Bitcoin Festival takes it beyond the technical understanding of the technology. Visit the two main attractions: the Bitcoin Art Gallery and Bitcoin Beer Garden.
Bitcoin Art Gallery
The project was initiated to exhibit the ideas and the major events that led to the making of Bitcoin. It allows international contemporary artists to express their perspectives and display their vision of how Bitcoin has changed the world. It’s a celebration of the people behind the technology. After all, it’s all about the community.
Bitcoin Beer Garden
Just as their promise, “make bitcoin fun again”, this specific area seeks to smash the seriousness surrounding the conversations about Bitcoin. Join and socialize with like-minded individuals in a lively atmosphere at the Sound Money Stage.
